Who is this course for?
Charity secretarial and compliance staff Charity chairs, chief executives and trustees, advisors and any others looking for a ‘done in one’ update.

The charity and not-for profit sector in the UK is entering a period of great activity, with the next two years seeing a comprehensive review of both the Charities Act 2006 and charity law. With the dust also starting to settle on the Charity Tribunal’s rulings on public benefit and the implications of the Equality Act 2010 and Bribery Act 201 becoming apparent, the charity law landscape continues to change and evolve.

Keeping track of these changes in order to remain compliant, and preparing for further changes on the horizon, can be a major challenge for charities. This new breakfast session aims to provide charity secretaries, trustees and other advisers with a thorough overview of the latest developments in charity law, and examine the thinking behind the evolving regulations and what they mean for organisations on the ground.
