Event Summary

The provision of public services such as care, health, education, arts and advice services are increasingly being procured by central and local government and the health service. This event will seek to set out:

  • the fundamental concepts of procurement and competition law that bidders (and procuring organisations) need to know
  • the legal and practical position of the Public Services (Social Value) Act
  • case studies highlighting common procurement problems and issues
  • competition law considerations in an expanding market for social services.

Who should attend

Chief executives who are seeking to bid for public service contracts, Finance Managers and Business Development personnel who are supervising bids, anyone with responsibility for seeking tenders and/or producing bids, and, anyone currently providing public services under contract.
