In this free seminar, voluntary sector consultant and adviser David Carrington will share his wisdom and perspective on the topic of what constitutes good governance, learned over the 45 years of his career in the sector. David will outline the pillars of good governance and how governing boards can enhance their effectiveness.
In 2013, David was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award by Civil Society for his excellent, impactful and impressive work in the voluntary and community sector. He was selected by the judges for his huge and diverse contribution to the sector over a distinguished and lengthy career.
David has served in an exhaustive array of roles – chief executive, chair, trustee and consultant. In 2001, David turned freelance and has since become a trusted confidante and adviser to hundreds of organisations and individuals throughout the sector and beyond.
David co-founded OnBoard with Philip Kirkpatrick and Tesse Akpeki in 2005.
