Event Summary

This seminar has been postponed until the autumn. A new date will be announced in the coming days. To register your interest in the new date, please fill in your details using the waiting list form below.

Has your organisation been adversely affected by the decisions of a public authority – be they commissioners of public services, government policy makers, education bodies or local authorities issuing grants or permits? If so, your organisation may have a public law remedy.

BWB, Matrix Chambers and NCVO are delighted to present this unique seminar to equip you with the public law tools to challenge decisions of public authorities and to use public law as a campaign tool. The seminar will also cover:

  • Where are we now with judicial review post-reforms?
  • If the Human Rights Act is abolished, how can we shore up human rights using common law and international law?
  • The interface with charity law

Speakers

The seminar will feature a variety of speakers from BWB and other organisations, including Melanie Carter (BWB), Helen Mountfield QC (Matrix Chambers) and Gita Parihar (Friends of the Earth).
