Philip Kirkpatrick, managing partner and joint head of charity at Bates Wells Braithwaite, told the Guardian Voluntary Sector Network about the enormous political pressure the Charity Commission is under to regulate the sector more effectively and avoid corruption. This debate, which included other prominent figures in the charity sector, discussed the regulation of the charity sector.

Kirkpatrick said, "I want to see a commission that upholds public trust by showing the good work charities do."
