It has been almost 30 years since the introduction of new legislation and regulations led to the increased professionalisation of the charity sector. Now, with the careers of those leading individuals who initiatied the shift drawing to a close, Charity Finance's Ian Allsop has identified 25 individuals as the future leaders of the charity advisory sector.
Among those likely to be shaping the landscape of the charity sector are BWB Charity partners Stephanie Biden, Luke Fletcher and Simon Steeden. Along with the 22 others on the list, they were chosen for their dedication to the charity sector, ability to 'go beyond simply providing statutory services and advice', and 'glowing testimonials' from various sources, among other qualities.
Stephanie Biden has been with BWB since 2003, and a was made a partner in 2013. She specialises in advising international NGOs and faith-based charities. Simon Steeden, with BWB since 2008 and partner since 2014, has a paritcular interest in advising environmental organisations, and jointly heads the electoral and political activites group. Luke Fletcher, partner and head of social finance, has been in our Charity department since 2007.
