Bates Wells Braithwaite has topped Charity Finance’s table of leading legal advisors to the charity sector for the third consecutive year. The Charity Finance Annual Legal Survey 2015 revealed that BWB represented more of the Charity 100 index, Charity 200 index and top 350 charities than any other firm nationally.
The report also highlighted the innovative approaches being taken by our Social Finance team. BWB’s conversion to an alternative business structure has allowed us to significantly widen our client offering, following the arrival of partner Jim Clifford and his team to establish the Advisory and Impact division. Charity Finance praised this development as an “interesting initiative”.
Partner Rosamund McCarthy said, “We are delighted to have topped the table once again. The Charity and Social Enterprise team continues to go from strength to strength and has recently recruited two new solicitors, Mark Abbott and Jessica Long. We’re steeped in the values of the third sector and we hope our expertise and breadth of services will continue to attract charities large and small”.
