BWB's Education team regularly host roundtable lunches on topical matters for our BWB Education Forum. With discussion, debate, and insights from key figures in the field, the sessions have proved to be useful and informative for participants.
The most recent session took place on 25 June and questioned Are students still falling off the cliff post-19 following the SEND reforms?
The session was chaired by Brian Lamb OBE and questioned:
• Is the funding adequate to meet the Government's objectives in the SEND reforms?
• What does entitlement mean in the context of the new Education and Health and Care Plans?
• Who has the duty to provide post 19?
• What is the role of special schools in post 19 provision?
