BWB's Rupert Earle, a Partner and Head of Media Litigation, has contributed to the new publication of Ad Law, a practical guide to the law and regulation of advertising and marketing communications.
The publication covers typical issues that are encountered by advertising practitioners when they are managing and overseeing campaigns and offers practical guidance.
Rupert has written two chapters within the book. The first is a chapter on the self-regulatory system. This outlines further detail on the codes drawn up by the advertising industry such as the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) and the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
The second chapter refers to consumer protection. Here Rupert outlines consumer rights in the face of unfair commercial practices.
