Bates Wells Braithwaite is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Cross as a Senior Consultant to its growing regulatory consultancy, BWB Compliance.
A specialist in UK and European regulation, Richard brings a wealth of experience in helping financial services firms to tackle compliance challenges and regulatory changes such as AIFMD and MIFID II.
Richard joins following a six-year stint at financial services regulatory consultancy Bovill, where he worked as a Managing Consultant, primarily advising asset managers in the Private Equity and Venture Capital sectors.
BWB Compliance offers regulatory advice and support to financial services firms. Richards joins at a time when the consultancy continues to expand its offering to current and prospective clients.
In response to the appointment, Gillian Roche-Saunders, Partner and Head of BWB Compliance, said:
“The financial services sector is currently undergoing an unprecedented level of change, firms are seeking out advisors who can help them to respond to the challenges and opportunities that the accompanying uncertainty will bring over the coming years. Richard offers just the kind of expert and pragmatic support firms look for in such times.
“BWB Compliance has grown significantly during the past 12 months and Richard’s appointment will strengthen further our offering to current and prospective clients.
“Having worked with Richard previously, I know how well his approach to regulatory consultancy fits with our own: working closely with clients to provide insights and solutions that add real value to their businesses.”
Richard Cross, Senior Consultant, said:
“I’m delighted to be working again with Gillian, joining her growing consultancy which is part of a well-established law firm. The team’s focus on innovative and practical solutions to compliance issues is something that clients of all sizes and specialisms demand.
