Peter has many years of experience in transactional M&A work in numerous business sectors, particularly in relation to private companies. He advises businesses and not-for-profit organisations on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including shareholders’ agreements, share structures, joint ventures and a wide variety of contractual and business matters. Peter specialises in LLP and partnership matters, including mergers and partnership agreements. In addition, he also has considerable experience of advising on the resolution of shareholder and partnership disputes.

  • Acted for Mackay Williams LLP on the purchase of the business and assets of a German company as part of a joint venture with a Luxembourg company
  • Acted for UK subsidiary of Campbell Page, a leading Australian not-for-profit organisation, on the purchase of share capital of a UK trading company in the Welfare to Work field
  • Re-purchase of share capital of a company operating The New Victoria Hospital and refinancing of the business, involving novel arrangements to take the company out of administration
  • Acted on the complex acquisition of a significant shareholding, from a minority shareholder of a major commodity trading company
  • Advised a major manufacturer of consumer goods on a wide variety of contractual and regulatory issues
  • Acted for Ashcroft Care Homes on a multi-million pound refinancing with Barclays Bank
  • Advised a leading Dutch manufacturer of agricultural equipment on the contractual terms of a major initiative in the UK dairy market
  • Advised a well-known solicitors’ practice on changes to its partnership agreement
