Transaction: BWB recently advised on the corporate aspects of the incorporation of a family investment company as part of a private client’s estate planning strategy.
Lawyers: Mark Tasker (Partner) and Sian Rowlands (Solicitor) advised on the corporate aspects of matter. Zoe Camp (Partner) and Aimee Mitchell (Associate) of New Quadrant Partners Limited advised on the private client aspects.
Observations: The matter is of interest as a family investment company is an alternative way for an individual to pass wealth to the next generation whilst retaining some control over that wealth. The establishment of the company, and the contribution of assets to that company, can be structured in a way which is not only tax efficient but can also be adapted to suit the particular needs of a family. BWB acted alongside New Quadrant Partners Limited who advised on the private client aspects.
