The commissioning of community pharmacy services is the responsibility of Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Local Pharmaceutical Committees (‘LPCs’) have been established to represent community pharmacy contractors in a defined geographical area, in their negotiations and discussions with primary care trusts and local authorities in connection with pharmacy services.
We are able to advise LPCs on all aspects of establishing themselves into consortia, including the appropriate legal form to take and all subsequent legal advice.
If you are considering forming a consortium or require advice, you may be interested in our FAQs on formation as a Community Interest Company.
For more information on the legal services we can provide to LPCs, please contact us for an initial conversation.
