We are looking for a Senior Associate (Data Privacy) to join BWB’s rapidly growing Data Privacy team.

The main focus of the role is to advise private, public and third sector clients across the full spectrum of data privacy law. This will include the opportunity to develop niche expertise, for example in relation to the interaction between data privacy law and fundraising regulation.
This exceptional opportunity working alongside the Head of Data Privacy will allow an ambitious individual to truly thrive with the support of several specialist fee earners and a PSL. It will also involve a close working relationship with BWB’s leading Charity and Social Enterprise law team.
There is also the opportunity to supervise junior fee earners, participate in business development and contribute to knowledge management. Required skills and experience
The role requires a self-motivated data privacy specialist with the ability to excel at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 6 years PQE gained in data privacy, ideally within a well-regarded law firm or currently working in-house but keen to move to private practice. Thorough experience of the full range of data protection and e-privacy compliance requirements, including:
The General Data Protection Regulation;Privacy notices and data protection policies;Outsourcing arrangements;International data transfer solutions;Employee monitoring and data use;Whistleblowing;Marketing;Data retention;Rights of individuals;Data breach;Online and app privacy issues.
