Mediation: a practical seminar considering the role mediation can play in the workplace and in workplace disputes, to include;
• incorporating a mediating approach into your day to day dealings with staff
• workplace mediation - the context, the practicalities, the benefits
• situations in which mediation may be appropriate (including judicial mediation)
Speakers: Martin Bunch and Carolyn Graham.
Carolyn Graham is a CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) accredited and registered mediator.
She regularly mediates in commercial and especially employment and workplace disputes across a diverse range of organisations and sectors including local and central Government, Banking, Insurance, NHS, Higher Education, Arts & Entertainment and Charities. She has mediated over 100 disputes including general commercial; employment and workplace (wrongful dismissal; racial/gender/disability discrimination; defamation of character; breach of confidentiality; relationship breakdown; bullying and harassment; capability & performance; RTW (sickness absence); property; inheritance and partnership; landlord/tenant and community disputes.
Carolyn previously worked for over 25 years in the arts and entertainment industry, both commercial (including running her own arts management business) and not for profit - including the Brighton International Festival and for 10 years as the Deputy Director of the Performing Arts Department at London’s Southbank Centre. With responsibility for the management of people, of contracts, of relationships and of finance central to all of her roles, she as mediator applies skills learnt at the sharp end of doing business and combines commercial instincts with an intuitive approach and natural people skills.
Carolyn is on the mediation panels of ADRChambers, The Association of Cambridge Mediators, CEDR Solve, EDSL (Effective Dispute Solutions Ltd) and Consensio. Member of the Civil Mediation Council.
