BWB's joint head of Charity Philip Kirkpatrick shared his thoughts on what Brexit could mean for the third sector at a recent online discussion, organised by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
Philip advised overseas aid charities to consider setting up entities within the EU, to safeguard future funding. He also recommended that charities still apply for EU funding before Britain exits, but warned that such requests might not be prioritised.
Also contributing to the event were Tim Hunter, director of fundraising at Oxfam, and Elizabeth Chamberlain, Chris Walker, and Karl Wilding of NCVO.
