Philip Trott has written on how the Government’s capped allocation of Tier 2 visas has impacted on the number of health care workers arriving in the UK.
Arguing that the capped allocation has negative consequences for the number of doctors, Philip said: “Because the cap is so restrictive and because others are being paid higher salaries for the restricted certificates of sponsorship, those who are seeking restricted Tier 2 Certificates of Sponsorship are losing because of their lower salary. One size (the cap) does not fit all.”
Highlighting the Government ongoing reluctance to change its stance on this policy, Philip also states that “Mrs May is continuing to be naïve in her resistance to the remodelling of the cap and the arguments posed by her that the economy will sort out deficiencies in the cap is wholly wrong”.
