Insights from Chetal Patel, partner in our Immigration Team, have been featured in People Management’s take on a new Universities UK study that calls for the reintroduction of a “Global Graduate Talent Visa” to help overseas students work and study in the UK post-graduation.

According to People Management, Universities UK in its report “argued [that] a graduate permit would allow a wider range of employers, in all parts of the country, to benefit from access to talented graduates from around the world.”

In her contribution to this piece, Chetal noted that “the visa will also enable a wider range of employers to benefit from access to talented graduates from around the world”. She also highlighted the benefits of such an approach outside London given that “more regional SMEs should benefit from the international graduates particularly, where the average wages are lower than in London.”
